Deciding Out Loud: Privacy Statement

This statement outlines how I handle the information I collect from my Deciding Out Loud website.

When you visit my website, my web server automatically collects the following information about you: your ISP's domain, the day/time you access www.DecidingOutLoud.com and which pages you visit while within my website. My web server does NOT automatically collect your name, your e-mail address or information regarding any other pages you may have visited elsewhere on the web.

I use the statistics about which of my pages people visit (and what pages they don't) only to improve my website content.

Here's my policy:

I do not, under any circumstances, sell or disclose to any third party information gathered by any script or by email.
I make some use of CGI scripts to gather information. For instance, my subscription form and "e-mail this page" feature use cgi script to collect information from visitors like e-mail addresses, individual names, and/or nicknames. All e-mails submitted through these online forms are logged to a file. This file is password protected in a private directory and is not available to anyone other than myself. Providing me with this information is done strictly on a volunteer basis, you are never denied access to any of my online content or web pages by refusing to do so.
If you use the "e-mail this page" feature, your friends or colleagues will NOT automatically receive my newletter or be added to my mailing list.
I do not own my own server. I rent space from ValueWeb.net. I access my web files through a secure connection with a private password.
As of this writing, HTTP Cookies are not being used at this site.

If you do not want to receive e-mail from me in the future, please let me know by sending me an e-mail to the address below, or visiting the Deciding Out Loud homepage (www.DecidingOutLoud.com) and choosing "Remove" from the Newletter sign up.

From time to time, I may use visitor information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in my privacy notice. If my information practices change at some time in the future I will post the policy changes to my website to notify you of these changes and provide you with the ability to opt out of these new uses. If you are concerned about how your information is used, you should check back at my website periodically.

Visitors may prevent their information from being used for purposes other than those for which it was originally collected by calling me at the number provided below.
